Entry Level: No writing experience, Beginner, Intermediate.

After learning the basic tools, we will have a look how famous stories are written.
"Lord of the Rings"
"Kung Fu Panda"
"Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part 1"
Then, we will write 3 short stories ourselves in novel and script formats.

Is this course about Story Arcs, Character Archetypes and 3 Act Structure?
Not exactly. Story Arcs and Character Archetypes are very useful functional tools that authors can use once they develop a degree of proficiency.
A very common approach is to give these tools to learners right away and apply them like LEGO in story construction. As a result, your creativity will obstructed by formulaic rules in storytelling.
I want your creativity to bloom and never think that you don't have a story to tell. You do. Even if you think: "I have nothing to write about", I will show you that you do and how you can find value even in abstract and vague, messy ideas to make them meaningful and marketable.
So are Formulas bad?
When a formula overshadows "You" -> It's detrimental to your story, yes. Formulas are tools that we use to construct stories.
The Metaphorical Constellations Framework that I have developed, is not a formula, it's an approach developed to fit individuals, tap into their consciousness and subconsciousness, transport that on paper and then organically construct story and character arcs to tell a story, that you truly want to tell.
After applying the Framework, the Story & Character Arcs will be constructed automatically, but in a very organic and unique way that speaks "This story is unlike any other."
Sounds suspiciously like a magic pill...
If only... As a narrative analyst and author, I have spent 3 years of researching and testing how narratives are constructed. I have written my Master Thesis on "Narrative Knowledge" and developed a "Narrative Knowledge" Framework, the goal of which was to help filmmakers write unique and interesting stories.
That research evolved further into the "Metaphorical Constellation Framework" developed specifically for starting and intermediate authors who are still willing to learn.
It's not a "plug and play" framework. It will require your involvement. That is why every story created with the framework will be unique and yours.

This course looks very movie heavy... can I use the skills in other mediums?
Since you will be watching a video course and not reading a PDF or playing a video game - I designed the course to be movie like with movies to talk about.
You will have to write and during the Origin Stories Module, you will understand how to use your acquired skills to write in the novel format, and during the Screenplay Module, it will become very clear how to apply what you have learned in film, video games or online content.
The knowledge will be 100% translatable between film <-> video game <-> book <-> online content formats.
And in the End, you will be able to:

Generate original ideas.
Apply the Framework to analyze and write unique stories.
Pack them into the Novel or Screenplay format.
Inspire other with your work.
About the Instructor

My name is Alexander Androsov, and as a creative director I currently dedicate my time not only to creative arts but also to scientific research of creative pre-production.
When pre-production suffers, it cascades with problems during production and post-production. Regardless of the craft being film, video game, literature, theater or online content.
I dedicated 3 years of my life to find new ways of creating stories that will not be hollow, boring or "functional" but rich, unique and original during the very "first draft" process. Now, I want to teach you exactly that.
