Privacy Policy For App Store

Language and Governing Version: This English-language Privacy Policy is the governing and legally controlling version. Any translation is provided for convenience/reference only. In case of conflict, ambiguity, or inconsistency, this English version prevails.

This Privacy Policy describes how Alexander Androsov, publisher of Work with Script and acting as an individual sole proprietor and data controller for the App Store distribution channel ("I", "me", "my"), handles personal data related to Software access, support, and legal communications.

Work with Script is primarily a desktop, local-first software product (not a SaaS platform).

1. Scope

This Policy applies to:

  • the App Store-distributed build of Work with Script;
  • support and legal communications related to that build;
  • official website/legal channels connected to that build.

It does not cover third-party websites/services you choose to use independently.

2. Apple Platform Processing

For App Store purchases and related platform functions, Apple may process account, payment, billing, entitlement, and device/account metadata under Apple's own privacy terms as an independent controller.

I do not control Apple's platform privacy practices.

3. Data We May Process

Depending on how you use the product, I may process:

  1. Support data: messages, email content, logs, screenshots, files, and diagnostics you voluntarily submit.
  2. Legal/compliance records: records required for dispute handling, legal obligations, abuse prevention, and security response.
  3. Basic technical request data: IP address and connection metadata received by website/support infrastructure.
  4. Limited App Store entitlement/support metadata (if available to me): only what is reasonably required to provide support, validate lawful access, or keep records.

For bug reports and feedback submissions, I use the submitted data only to review the report, communicate with you, resolve the related issue/request, and improve the software.

4. Local Project Content

Scripts, notes, music, drawings, spreadsheets, and exports you create are generally stored locally on your device(s).

I do not receive your project content unless you deliberately share it with me (for example during support).

5. No AI Training on User Content

I do not use your local project content or submitted creative content to train or fine-tune AI/ML models unless you separately and explicitly opt in.

6. Website 7-Day Trial/Lite (Separate Channel)

If you separately use a 7-day trial/lite version from my website, that trial/lite channel may involve additional data processing for license/trial enforcement (for example trial status, activation/deactivation events, app version, and anti-abuse metadata).

That website trial/lite channel is a separate distribution path from the App Store channel and may be governed by additional or separate trial-specific terms.

7. Purposes of Processing

I process data to:

  • provide support and issue resolution;
  • maintain software/security integrity and prevent abuse;
  • comply with legal obligations (tax/accounting/legal claims where applicable);
  • respond to lawful requests and protect rights/safety.

8. Legal Bases (GDPR-style Framework)

Where applicable, legal bases include:

  • Contract performance (support/services requested by you);
  • Legitimate interests (security, anti-abuse, fraud prevention, legal defense);
  • Legal obligations (tax/accounting/legal compliance);
  • Consent where specifically requested for optional processing.

9. Sharing of Data

I may share data only as needed with:

  • hosting/infrastructure providers;
  • support tooling providers;
  • legal/accounting advisors when required;
  • competent authorities where required by law.

I do not sell your personal data.

10. International Transfers

If data is processed outside your country/region, I use legally recognized safeguards where required.

11. Retention

I retain data only as long as reasonably necessary for support, legal compliance, abuse prevention, and dispute resolution, including:

  • support records for reasonable troubleshooting/audit history;
  • legal/accounting records for statutory retention periods;
  • security and abuse-prevention records for proportionate protection and legal defense.
  • bug-report and feedback communications for up to 24 months after the last meaningful support interaction, then deleted or minimized, unless a longer period is required for legal obligations, abuse prevention, or active dispute handling.
  • deletion requests for bug-report/feedback communications can be submitted through the official support/legal contact channels in Section 16, and I will process such requests in accordance with applicable law.

12. Security

I use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. No system can be guaranteed 100% secure.

13. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object, or request portability of your personal data, and to lodge complaints with a supervisory authority.

14. Children and Legal Capacity

The Software is not directed to children under the age required by applicable law for independent data consent. Do not provide personal data if you are not legally eligible.

For users in Germany, legal capacity principles under the German Civil Code (BGB), including rules applicable to minors and section 110 BGB where relevant, remain applicable.

15. Changes to This Policy

I may update this Policy for legal, technical, or business reasons. Updated versions take effect on the posted effective date.
